CPR – AED – First Aid
This course will build your confidence in responding to a wide variety of medical emergencies, including how to easily keep your skills sharp throughout the year.
This course includes, but is not limited to:
- Infant, child, adult CPR and choking.
- The use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
- Patient assessment, bleeding, shock management, traumatic injuries, including to the head, neck, spine, mouth, eye, chest, abdomen, musculature, bone and joints. Medical considerations and treatment for: burns, respiratory distress, allergic reactions, seizures, fainting, diabetic emergencies, poisoning, hypo and hyperthermia, bites and stings.
- Wound care
- Emergency scene management.
- This course has been approved for 7 Hours of Continuing Education by an approved California EMS CE Provider. California EMS CE Provider # 49-0093
Many CPR – AED – First Aid courses are taught by individuals with no actual field experience, and who have only read the material, watched videos, and then read the material back to you with a few videos tossed in. This course is taught by individuals with first hand field experience with all of the information presented.
